Seminar
Comments from recent
participants
The December 2003
seminar in Dallas, Texas involved 40
participants from 3 states. We provide a
one page feedback form for feedback,
comments and suggestions on the seminar
and the Handbook that is provided with
the course.
When asked if they
would recommend this seminar to others,
here's what some of them had to say
about the weekend seminar:
-
-Absolutely worth the money and time.
-
-This is one of the best weekends for
learning I've ever had.
-
-You make sitting and learning for 8 hours
a pleasure. Tons of great information and resources.
-
-A great compilation of good information!!
-
-With all of the other information

-Well organized, thorough knowledge of
subject.

-
-Interesting and fast paced.
-
-Very information oriented. Easily
understandable.

The January 2004 squirrel rehabilitation
seminar was held in Vacaville, CA involving 40+
participants from 4
states. The photos below show some of the exhibits available for viewing at
each of the seminars. Exhibits include samples of small caging used for
animals of young ages; reference books, especially on natural history;
tools; and many other items used in squirrel rehabilitation. Some of the
comments from the participants from this session are also listed below.

-
-I would like everyone on our squirrel
team to take this course.
-
-Appreciate the broad spectrum of the
program. "Something for Everybody" since the audience had various degrees
of expertise and experience.
-
-I appreciate the professionalism of the
presentation - AV; the materials; and keeping on schedule.
-
-The presentation pulled together the many
disparate pieces into a coherent approach to care.
-
-You
have a lot of very helpful, practical information to share.
-
-Helped
me know what I am doing right and what I need to change.
-
-Very
good natural history - made me more aware.

I was never bored.

Comments from the session held in September 2004 in
Owego, NY in conjunction with the New York State Wildlife Rehabilitation
Council 24th Annual Conference:
-
-Best seminar I've been to.
-
-I walked away with so much more info than
I expected. Learned what I was doing wrong!
-
-The course will make me be a better
rehabber.
-
-A vast amount of knowledge was dispensed -
which will lead to very high quality animal care.
-
-I am a beginner and am thrilled with the
resources I've gotten from the program.
-
-A lot of good, tested information. Very
informative and helpful.
-
-Good info presented in a lively fashion.
Thanks for the research that helps us all.
-
-Comprehensive course - scientific and
practical.
-
-I walk out with numerous ways to more
successfully rehab & even more info to delve into later in the Handbook.
-
-Answered many questions on why certain
problems occur and how to deal with them.
-
-I know rehabbers who have rehabbed a LOT
longer than me (and rehabbed many more animals) that could benefit from
this information.
-
-Worth every penny. With the Handbook, I
really think I'll be able to remember, keep, and use what I've learned.
Thank you both!
